The development of the Nissan ZEOD RC is continuing at a great pace with the revolutionary electric car scheduled to make its track debut for demonstration laps at the Fuji round of the World Endurance Championship next month.
Nissan’s Director of Motorsport Innovation Ben Bowlby explains in the video below the importance of crash testing the unique challenges regarding developing tests to ensure the battery and electrical equipment remain safe in an impact.
The Nissan ZEOD RC will make its race debut at next year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car aims to complete one complete lap per fuel stint at Le Mans on nothing but electric power at speeds in excess of 185 mph.
