Will PLM Winning Experience Reign Supreme
The ALMS GT class is considered the most competitive motorsports racing in the world. For today’s Petit Le Mans, will the winning experience at Road Atlanta help pave the way to victory for some of the drivers?
Corvette Racing’s Oliver Gavin and Flying Lizard Motorsports’ Joerg Bergmeister both have six wins at Road Atlanta – the most ever by an ALMS driver. Paul Miller Racing’s Sascha Maassen has five wins, Corvette Racing’s Jan Magnussen four and Bergmeister’s co-driver, Patrick Long, has three wins at Road Atlanta.
Magnussen has at least one win in every ALMS season, a streak that started in 1999, the first year of the Series. But so far this season, Magnussen and co-driver, Antonio Garcia, have four second-place finishes and look for a victory today to continue Mag’s 13-year streak.
