Courtesy of FOX Sports and IMSA, Justin Bell described how Michelin prepared for its return to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the first time in six years.
Both snow and otherwise low temperatures in the spring made testing difficult, with only Porsche able to get significant running in advance of the race weekend.
The technological advancements made in the GT Le Mans class since 2012, too, reveal how much has changed in six years.
The pole time was nearly two seconds quicker than in 2012. In the race, all eight cars posted their fastest race lap within four tenths of a second.
