The Torque Show debuts in Daytona
Veteran sports car broadcasters and past drivers Justin Bell and Tommy Kendall launch “The Torque Show” this week in Daytona. Given their pedigree and propensity for fun in the paddock, expect the show to strike a balance between fun and informative tones.
The new show will be an online and social-media driven show. Michelin is the show’s presenting sponsor.
The show provides a platform for lively storytelling to feature those fascinating figures throughout the IMSA paddock and Michelin’s on-site crew that make IMSA sports car racing so enjoyable heading into its 50th anniversary season.

In a release, Bell and Kendall noted the desire to reveal the lifestyle aspect of the paddock in a free-flowing format.
“Of all the lifestyles lived, none perhaps was richer than the pinnacle of professional sports car racing: brave drivers, exotic machinery, danger, beautiful women, money, and drama. This is not hyperbole.
“Everyone wanted to be a rock star, the rock stars wanted to be movie stars and the biggest movie stars want to be race car drivers; Steve McQueen, Paul Newman and Patrick Dempsey, to name a few.
“The Torque Show is going to bring this world in all of its three dimensional richness to fans around the world. It is where everyone will naturally gather to hear their heroes share stories of the big wins, wild moments, heartbreaks, and some of the stuff not fit for television. We will break down the action, take part in some good-natured ribbing, mediate some disputes, and do a little bit of celebrating too.”
Distribution of The Torque Show is on the MotorTrend Facebook page LIVE, and available on its award winning MotorTrend YouTube Channel. The Torque Show’s social media handle is @TorqueShowLive on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Additional partners include VP Racing Fuels and Airstream.
