The Ferrari pack is “Extremely” Fast
Extreme Speed Motorsports pulled out a surprise to top the timesheets in the GT class in the afternoon session today at the Sebring Winter Test – outpacing the likes of BMW, the Flying Lizard Porsches and Corvette Racing.
Johannes van Overbeek stopped the clocks at 2:01.401, with Guy Cosmo just over a 10th of a second slower.
With ESM assisting the factory Michelotto car of ex-Corvette man Olivier Beretta with Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander – the Ferrari force actually went 1-2-3 in the afternoon.
While the ESM team enters the season with their existing 458 Italias – new cars headed the pack next with the two new Corvettes leading the Jorg Bergmeister/Patrick Long Flying Lizard Porsche.
The cars for all three Porsche teams – Flying Lizard, Falken and Paul Miller Racing – are so new they have been circulating around Sebring in plain white liveries, fresh off the Porsche factory floor.
