Testing underway at Daytona
Testing is underway at Daytona International Speedway as the American Le Mans Series and the GRAND-AM Rolex Series comes together under the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship banner for the first time.
Teams tested together on the weekend at Sebring International Raceway and now converge on the “World Center of Racing” which will host the opening round of the new championship with the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
A total of 37 cars were on track this morning with the No.5 Action Express Racing Daytona Prototype topping the Prototype Class. In the GT Le Mans class, the factory Ferrari car run by Michelotto was fastest ahead of the factory Aston Martin Racing Vantage. BMW and SRT are also on track for the first time at Daytona.
