SRT Viper Racing team chooses Michelin
Michelin will become the technical partner of choice for the new factory-backed SRT Vipers that will enter American Le Mans Series competition later this season it was announced today.
Viper and Michelin have a long history of success in competition having previously teamed for a pair of ALMS GT titles, three GT class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, three overall wins at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, five FIA GT World Championships, and an overall win at the 24 Hours of Daytona.
The pair of V10 powered factory-backed Vipers will join one of the most competitive classes in global motorsports as it takes on factory linked teams from Porsche, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, and Lotus in the ALMS.
Dominik Farnbacher, Ryan-Hunter-Reay, and Kuno Wittmer will join veteran Marc Goossens in the factory-backed SRT Viper Racing team.
