SRT Motorsports leads morning warm-up
After capturing pole position yesterday, SRT Motorsports once again found themselves at the head of the GTLM field in this morning’s warm-up.
This time it was the #91 Dodge Viper SRT with Marc Goossens at the helm that led the way with a lap of 2:05.252 ahead of the #910 Porsche 911 RSR of Frederic Makowiecki (2:05.408).
The two other Porsche North America entries followed behind with the #912 (Christensen – 2:05.436) in third and the #912 (Tandy – 2:05.455) in fourth.
The Championship leading #3 Corvette Racing car of Antonio Garcia was fifth with a lap time of 2:05.758. The pole sitting #93 Dodge Viper SRT (Wittmer – 2:05.932) was seventh .
In the Prototype class, the Oak Racing entry was fastest with Gustavo Yacaman behind the wheel registering a time of 1:58.808.
8Star Motorsports driver Sean Rayhall (2:02.741) led the PC class with Jan Heylen topping the charts in GTD, aboard his #58 Porsche 911 GT America.
Cars will return to the track at 11:35 am for the penultimate round of the 2014 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season at Circuit of The Americas.
The race will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 2 with a rebroadcast on the Fox network September 21, 2014 (check your local listings).
