For the benefit of those who think there is no such thing as a sportscar fan, we respectfully suggest that you visit Sebring. IndyCar boss Randy Bernard stopped by on Friday and ran late for meetings after being caught in the big paddock crowds for the mid-day autograph session. Nissan decided to host some top media at the race, but had to house them in Orlando, as all the nearby hotels were long ago booked.

A French journalist who visited the Porsche and Corvette car club corrals noted that he saw “hundreds of Porsches and Corvettes and thousands of motorhomes.”

Infield tent dwellers reported that space was so tight that campers were sharing tent stakes.
