Year five of Robertson Racing in the American Le Mans Series is a fantastic opportunity for the underdogs to tackle the big boys in the incredibly competitive GT class. The team’s charge is enhanced by a switch to MICHELIN® tires as a new technical partner team. It’s the fourth year for the team’s Ford GTs, and the plan is for two of them to run the entire season after a trial with a second car at the 2010 Petit Le Mans.
The husband-and-wife team of David and Andrea are joined by road race ace Boris Said, a winner in practically every series or car he’s ever competed. In the second car, David Murry switches over to run with Anthony Lazzaro for the season, and third driver Colin Braun makes a return to sports car racing for the first time in a few seasons. The young Texan has a runner-up finish in the GT2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on his resume, and last competed at Sebring in 2007.
This is part of a series of previews on Michelin technical partner teams in this year’s 12 Hours of Sebring.
