Rebellion’s Jani Takes Pole at Road Atlanta

October 19, 2012

After earning the LMP1 championship as top independent in the FIA World Endurance Championship the Rebellion Racing team came to Road Atlanta for Petit Le Mans with a single objective, take the overall win.

Neel Jani has his team on that path with an impressive pole position lap at 1:09.089, to edge the Muscle Milk Honda of Lucas Luhr and claim the pole for the 10 Hour/1000 mile race.

Guy Smith put the Dyson Racing Lola Mazda third followed by Mark Patterson in the #20 Dyson entry.

Olivier Pla put the Oak Racing Morgan Nissan atop the P2 qualifying followed by Conquest Endurance Racing’s Martin Plowman and Level 5’s Honda’s Marino Franchitti.

The Nissan DeltaWing of Gunnar Jeannette posted a time of 1:12.850, just 0.804 seconds off the P2 pole.
