Ready to roll at Mazda Raceway
Teams are ready to roll out onto the grid for round three fo the 2012 American Le Mans Series at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
This morning’s warm-up was mainly without incident – only a spin for Dempsey Racing’s PC class entry and the corkscrew providing a few scary moments for the team.
Lucas Luhr topped the timesheets for Muscle Milk Racing – the local San Francisco Bay area-based team looking to take their first victory at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
A new team with a new fan following will be Dempsey Racing which will debut in P2 with Patrick Dempsey (pictured above with Scott Sharp), Joe Foster and former ALMS winner Jonny Cocker behind the wheel.
The weather is a comfortable 66 degrees F and is not expected to change much with a predicted temperature of 61 for 8:00pm tonight for the podium ceremony.
