We’re in final countdown mode for round four of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

The preparations for today’s Prototype and GTLM race at 11:15am have been dominated by the underdogs – Mazda Racing in Prototypes and Scuderia Corsa in GTLM.

The sweeping turns of Mazda Raceway are ideally suited to the Le Mans-style LM P2 machines and Mazda’s machines dominated every practice and qualifying. Today would be a fairytale result to win here on “home” soil.

New GTLM Ferrari team may be the new kids on the block in the toughest GT competition on the planet – but they dominated Friday’s action and Brazilian second-generation racer Daniel Serra put his Ferrari 488 on pole.
