Changes have been made to the Grand Prix of Baltimore circuit this year with the chicane on the main straight removed.
The result is the cars now arrive in turn 1 a lot faster – they also clear the railway tracks across the circuit a lot faster.
GTC cars in particular are getting a lot of “air time”. The IndyCar session preceding the ALMS action was even more exciting – ex-ALMS star Simon Pagenaud in particular getting lots of “air” (pictured above).
Prototype teams will also be spending a lot of time inspecting and repairing undertrays in the hours ahead.
