Rainy days at Petit Le Mans
Rainy days at Petit Le Mans
Rain hindered preparations for tomorrow’s 17th annual Petit Le Mans with only two cars venturing out in treacherous conditions at Road Atlanta this morning.
Heavy morning storms drenched the circuit with Patrick Lindsey (#73-GTD Porsche 911 GT America) completing on exploratory lap while Daniel Lloyd (#19-GTD Porsche 911 GT America) completed four laps before running off in turn one.
Thankfully the rain has now held off and the track is mainly dry with qualifying looming at 4:20pm this afternoon.
In last night’s night practice, Gustavo Yacaman topped the timesheet for Oak Racing – stopping the clocks at 1:14.923.
In the GTLM ranks, the No.3 Corvette led most of the session before Bryan Sellars dropped the quick time down to 1:19.060.
Other class leaders included IndyCar racer and Indianapolis TUDOR United SportsCar Championship PC race winner Jack Hawksworth and Mario Franbacher in the GT Daytona class.
