Racing with heavy hearts
August 31, 2013
The Michelin Motorsports team is racing with saddened hearts this weekend due to the loss of two members of the Michelin racing family. Debbie Rinaldo, wife of former race operations manager Jerry Rinaldo passed away last weekend after a lengthy illness.
Days later, the team was stunned by the sudden death of Rick Gilman, a key associate whose company handles the logistics and trailers for Michelin race tires.
The Michelin engineers, tire fitters, teams, drivers, and support crew extend our sympathy to both families and dedicate today’s race in their memories.
