Racing is already underway
While the cars have hit the track at Petit Le Mans today, racing was already underway last night with the 10th annual Petit Petit Le Mans karting fundraiser.
Run by Motorsport Ministries, the event featured a packed field of competitors from the American Le Mans Series paddock – from drivers to mechanics, engineers to PR representatives along with some very fast stars of the future.
The “race” was won by the Robertson Racing entry of Andrea Robertson, Melanie Snow, David Murry and one of the stars of the night – David’s son Dylan who blasted away into the lead off the start and also took the checkered flag in the three-hour enduro.
Teams had the opportunity to help their cause by gaining extra laps with a small donation, or even enforcing a black flag on an opponent by also adding to the fundraising efforts.
