Sportscar fans in Texas are set for another great day at Circuit of The Americas making its race debut today.
Allan McNish and Loic Duval combined to set the pole for Audi yesterday. Qualifying in the FIA WEC requires both drivers to set a time.
Allan McNish and Loic Duval set a four-lap average of 1:48.355. The No. 2 Audi R18 e-tron quattro set the pole over the No.1 Audi by 0.262 seconds.
Rivals Toyota had a tough day, making contact with a Lotus LMP2 for the second race in a row. Stephane Sarrazin and Sebastien Buemi for Toyota were third with a 1:49.696 average.
Other pole winners included the G-Drive Racing by Delta-ADR’s Mike Conway and John Martin in LMP2 and Aston Martin Racing in GTE-Pro, with Senna and Fred Makowiecki aboard the No. 99 Vantage V8 setting a time of 2:04.628.
