TUDOR points update
TUDOR points update
The latest points for the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship have been released by IMSA after the opening two rounds of the new championship which has brought together the GRAND-AM Rolex Series and the American Le Mans Series under the same banner.
Rolex 24 at Daytona winners Action Express Racing lead the prototype ranks with Joao Barbosa, Sebastien Bourdais and Christian Fittipaldi on top on 67 points.
Sebring winner Marino Franchitti – who has driven two different Ganassi entries in the opening two races is in second place – seven points adrift of the leaders.
In the GT Le Mans ranks, the consistency of BMW’s Bill Auberlen, Andy Priaulx and Joey Hand has pushed them in the lead following their runner-up finish at Daytona and third place at Sebring. The Porsche North America squad – with two overall wins – has all their drivers on the same points, five points adrift of the leaders.
Other class leaders include the dominant CORE autosport in PC with Jon Bennett, Colin Braun and James Gue. In GT Daytona, Bill Sweedler and Townsend Bell hold the lead despite driving for two different teams in the opening two races.
