Porsche to be revealed in Geneva
The new Porsche 919 Hybrid which will spearhead the German manufacturer’s return to the Le Mans 24 Hours will be revealed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
On Tuesday, February 28, the new LM P1 challenger – which will also contest the FIA World Endurance Championship – will be shown in its race livery.
The new efficiency-based regulations of the WEC stipulate innovative hybrid drives. The 919 Hybrid is regarded as a research laboratory by Porsche for the technology of future production vehicles.
The LM P1 prototype will be joined on stage by the new Porsche 911 RSR which contest the FIA World Endurance Championship in the LM GTE Pro class as well as the GTLM class of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship in the US.
The new 911 kicked off its US assault in fine form by winning on debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
