A sign of things to come? Porsche, which kicked off Michelin’s current run of 14 consecutive overall victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with its 911 GT1-98 prototype in 1998, is heading back to Le Mans in 2014 with the goal of overall victory. The German manufacturer confirmed the announcement via a video on its official YouTube channel. As the lone American Porsche factory driver, Patrick Long tweeted about the announcement: “Porsche + LMP1 for 2014 – great news!”
