Porsche backed up their 1-2 finish in the first practice session from Canadian Tire Motorsports Park by setting the first and second fastest times in the second practice as well.

Laurens Vanthoor once again paced the GTLM field in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, setting a time of 1:14.753 in the No. 912 Porsche 911 RSR. The No. 912 was the only car to dip below the 1:15 mark during the session.

Second on the time sheets was the sister 911 Porsche, ahead of the pair of BMW M6 GTLMs, with the No. 24 edging out the No. 25.

Antonio Garcia in the No. 3 Corvette Racing C7.R filled out the top five for the session, followed by the two Ford GTs. The top seven cars in the session were covered by just 0.836 of a second, with 1.451 covering the entire GTLM field, including the No. 4 Corvette in eighth.

In Prototypes, the No. 2 Nissan DPi from Patron ESM led the way over the No. 10 Cadillac that topped the time sheets in the previous session.

The No. 38 led yet again in Prototype Challenge and Sage Karam took the fastest lap in GTD in the No. 14 Lexus RCF GTS.

Practice three goes green Saturday at 9:20 AM Eastern.
