Porsche GT3 Canadian champions crowned

greenOn a day when Porsche scored dominant 1-2 finishes both overall and in the GTE Pro class at the big FIA –World Endurance championship race at the Nurburgring, a Canadian team and driver walked away with the season long honors in the 2015 Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Michelin here at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Driver Christopher Green of Montreal and his Woodbridge, Ontario based Pfaff Motorsports team captured the 2015 series driver and team championships after finishing second in each of the two previous seasons.

Doubling their celebration, teammate driver Orey Fidani of Woodbridge claimed the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge driver championship in the Gold class giving Pfaff Motorsports a double 2015 team championship.

Marco Cirone of Toronto took the Masters class championship for Mark Motors.

Green won both rounds of the season opening weekend at CTMP in Mya and never looked back.

British Columbia’s Scott Hargrove, the 2014 series champion, won both races this weekend on the 2.459 mile, his sixth and seventh wins of the 2015 season, but couldn’t overcome the deficit of missing the first two races of the season.

Daniel Morad of Thornhill, Ontario finished second in both races. Morad scored a victory in the rain at Toronto.
