Patrick Dempsey’s team hits the ALMS trail
Dempsey Racing – the team owned by Grey’s Anatomy Hollywood star Patrick Dempsey hit the track in the American Le Mans Series for the first time at the Sebring Winter Test in LMPC.
And judging from the initial results, the Atlanta-based squad looks like they will be a force to be reckoned with.
The team will field a full season entry for Duncan Ende and Henri Richard. Ende was on site at the test with Dane Cameron and Ryan Lewis filling in for Richard this week.
Dempsey Racing was fastest in the afternoon session yesterday and again this morning.
Led by Dempsey’s regular GRAND-AM co-driver Joe Foster and team manager Greg Cates, the new LMPC team highlights the depth in the class in 2012.
While CORE autosport returns with former NASCAR young gun Colin Braun joining Jon Bennett, the Muscle Milk team will also field a full season entry with former IndyCar racer Memo Gidley and Michael Guash.
