Pagenaud is a busy man
Simon Pagenaud is a busy man this week. From rally cars in France, IndyCars at Barber Motorsports Park and now Level 5 Motorsports’ HPD P2 machine at the 12 Hours of Sebring.
The talented Frenchmen and former ALMS P1 champion is making his debut with Level 5 this weekend – teamed up with Level 5 boss Scott Tucker and IndyCar rival and series champ, Ryan Hunter-Reay.
Pagenaud won the two-wheel drive class and finished 5th overall in rally machinery in a local event in his home town in France last weekend (pictured right) before jetting in for the final IndyCar pre-season test at Barber Motorsports Park for Schmidt Petersen Motorsports.
He then arrived to do battle in Sebring this week as the P2 battle kicks off with two Level 5 machines fighting it out with the similar HPD entries from Extreme Speed Motorsports and a single Zytek Nissan from Greaves Motorsport.
“Sebring is a race that I really enjoy doing becuase it is such a great event,” Pagenaud said.
“There are a lot of very good drivers and I am with a fantastic team at Level 5. It is also great to continue to work with my friends at Honda Performance Development on improving the P2 package.
