O Canada!
O Canada!
Unlike the Stanley Cup Playoffs, which headed to the NHL Conference finals without a single Canadian team, there are still four Canadian drivers seeking glory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Toronto’s Tony Burgess is slated to be the sole Canadian in the Prototype ranks, co-driving a Lola Judd P2 entry for HVM Status GP team.
Quebec’s Kuno Wittmer will be aboard one of the SRT Motorsports Vipers as the big snakes make an exciting return to Le Mans after a decade plus absence. Wittmer drives car 53 with Americans Jonathan Bomarito and Tommy Kendall.
Meanwhile, Paul Dalla Lana of Vancouver joins ALMS ace Bill Auberlen and former F1 driver Pedro Lamy aboard the powerful 98 Aston Martin Vantage in the GTE-Pro wars.
On the GTE-AM side of the scorecard, Darryl O’Young also of Vancouver is teamed with Piergiuseppe Parrazzini and Lorenzo Case in a potent AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia.
