Nissan DeltaWing’s “Unfinished Business”
Nissan DeltaWing’s “Unfinished Business”
The Nissan DeltaWing heads to Petit Le Mans on a mission – the team has its sights set on rectifying “unfinished business”.
At the car’s debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the car settled into a strong race pace before suffering contact with a Toyota prototype which forced it out of the race.
Despite the efforts of NISMO Japanese star Satoshi Motoyama to try to repair the car to get it back to pit lane, the revolutionary machine had to retire after six hours.
The car will be raced at Petit by 2011 ALMS PC class champion Gunnar Jeannette and inaugural Nissan GT Academy winner, Spaniard, Lucas Ordonez.
In this launch video, designer Ben Bowlby; Nissan’s Darren Cox; Ordonez; DeltaWing’s Don Panoz and Michelin’s Karl Koenigstein talk about the challenges of Petit Le Mans.
