Muscle Milk tops Laguna warm-up
After a troubled day in qualifying yesterday, Muscle Milk Aston Martin Racing bounced back to form this morning in the warm-up with Klaus Graf topping the timesheet.
Graf stopped the clocks at 1:18.252 – .266 of a second faster than the factory Aston Martin machine in which Harold Primat set the fastest time.
After setting the pole yesterday, Dyson Racing had a less than successful warm-up – Jay Cochran having a spin and eventually stopping on course in the #16 car. The sister #20 entry only completed four laps with Butch Leitzinger behind the wheel and was only 29th fastest.
Frankie Montecalvo topped the times in LMPC in his CORE autosport machine he is sharing with team boss Jon Bennett and former Le Mans 24 Hour winner, Andy Wallace. Teammate Ricardo Gonzalez was second fastest.
After Guy Cosmo qualified fourth in the Extreme Speed Ferrari yesterday in GT, Johannes van Overbeek continued the strong form for the Florida-based squad by being fastest in the warm-up ahead of Baltimore winner, Bryan Sellars.
The six hour ModSpace American Le Mans Monterey kicks off today at 1:30pm and is live on ESPN3.com
