Muscle Milk Pickett Honda Out

A near-perfect season came to an early end as the 2013 ALMS P1 champions from Muscle Milk Pickett Racing Honda were forced to retire from the overall race lead shortly before the midway point due to overheating issues.
In the successful defense of its ALMS manufacturer, team and driver championship, the team reeled off eight consecutive 2013 ALMS wins. Prior to its retirement, the Muscle Milk car held a one-lap advantage over the defending race champion Rebellion Racing Toyota.
“Obviously we are disappointed, but having a problem in just one race out of ten is a credit to our team and all the hard work and preparation,” said Luhr.
