Mosport International Raceway has been bought by Canadian Motorsport Ventures, Ltd., a Canadian group of investors which includes one of Canada’s and the American Le Mans Series’ greatest all-time road racers in Ron Fellows.

The country’s largest permanent road course facility was previously owned by Panoz Motor Sports Group. Under the new ownership, with the group that includes Fellows, classic car enthusiast and transportation industry leader Al Boughton and real-estate developer Carlo Fidani, track president and general manager Myles Brandt will continue in both roles.

“We could not be more pleased to be returning Mosport back to Canadian ownership and stewardship,” said Scott Atherton, President and CEO of Panoz Motor Sports Group and the ALMS. “The new owners represent the best possible combination of top-quality business professionals, enthusiasts and resources. Canadian race fans have a lot of very positive things to look forward to at Mosport. And we will look forward to bringing the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón back to Mosport for many years to come.”

Although Mosport was not for sale, the new group approached the Panoz Motor Sports Group with the intention to transform and advance the future of the facility.

The ALMS races at Mosport from July 21-24 this year, a change from August last year.
