HOT!… Hot!… and then, maybe not so bad:
The heat dome covering much of the eastern U.S. did not stop at the Canadian border as record temperatures were the lead story across Ontario on Thursday. Temperatures topped 100 degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity taking the heat index north of 115 degrees.
Thankfully, the Friday forecast is a bit cooler with highs in the mid-90s. The ALMS cars will take to the track for testing from 3:10 to 5:10 this afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to be in the high 80s for official practice and qualifying on Saturday.
Things are expected to cool a bit further by Sunday afternoon’s race.
