Mid-Ohio morning warmup
American Le Mans Series teams enjoyed a dry track in the morning warm-up at Mid-Ohio but there are no guarantees for this afternoon’s race.
Rain is predicted later today which could certainly make life interesting. Guy Smith and Chris Dyson (1:16.122) continued their pole winning form in the warm-up to lead Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr’s Aston Martin in P1 (1:16.411).
Jon and Clint Field are definitely going to be a pair to watch in LMPC today (1:19.089). Father Jon only managed to qualify third yesterday but topped the timesheet this morning to lead LMPC and be third fastest overall.
Son Clint led many laps at the start of the 2010 race before mechanical dramas forced he and his father out of the race.
Dirk Mueller (1:21.848) topped the GT times this morning for BMW ahead of Patrick Long’s Flying Lizard Porsche and Johannes van Overbeek in the ESM Ferrari.
