Michelin team up with Sportscar365.com
Michelin has joined forces with Sportscar365.com for a new collaboration which will expand the web site’s coverage of the FIA World Endurance Championship and focus on the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Michelin has become the presenting sponsor of Sportscar365’s WEC coverage – the championship where the French tire manufacture join forces with the likes of Porsche, Audi, Toyota, Ferrari and Aston Martin.
A special “Michelin: Road to Le Mans” set of features, profiling American teams’ journey to the French endurance classic, will begin next month, providing readers a unique look at the efforts of Corvette Racing, Ford Chip Ganassi Racing and others.
Additionally, Michelin will also play a part of Sportscar365’s coverage of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, with a dedicated technical feature story prior to each GT Le Mans race this season.
The highly competitive, factory backed class primarily features Michelin technical partner teams including Porsche North America, Corvette Racing, BMW Team RLL and newcomers Ford Chip Ganassi Racing.

“Michelin is pleased to join Sportscar365 to bring WEC series news and insights on the ‘Road to Le Mans’ to its growing base of performance enthusiasts,” said Sarah Robinson, motorsports marketing manager for Michelin North America.
“We also welcome the opportunity to share our tech insights prior to each WeatherTech Championship race, as we feel the sports car faithful are always seeking more information about technology and innovation.”
Launched in September 2013, Sportscar365 has become the leading independent news source for worldwide coverage of endurance and GT racing, reaching more than 12 million page views and 1.5 million unique viewers in its first two years of operation.
Sportscar365’s international staff, led by site founder and Editor-in-Chief John Dagys, North American Editor Tony DiZinno and European corespondents Vincent Wouters and Marcel ten Caat, will be on-site at every WEC and IMSA event in 2016, delivering unparalleled global coverage of both major championships.
“We’re extremely excited to welcome Michelin to Sportscar365 for what’s shaping up to be an extraordinary year of endurance racing, both in North America and around the globe,” Dagys said.
“As one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers, and overall winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the last 18 years, Michelin holds a strong and passionate link to endurance racing and we look forward to helping tell that story.”
Sportscar365’s 2016 trackside coverage begins this weekend at Daytona for the “Roar Before the Rolex 24,” followed by the 24 Hours of Dubai on Jan. 15-16, which kicks off the international endurance racing season. The 54th annual Rolex 24 at Daytona is set for Jan. 30-31, followed by the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour just one week later.
