Michelin statement on IMSA, ACO Convergence
Michelin statement on IMSA, ACO Convergence
Michelin’s statement on Friday’s historic announcement of convergence held at Daytona International Speedway is below.

Michelin applauds the leaders of the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and the Automobile Club l’Ouest (ACO) on this important convergence at the top level of sports car racing. We anticipate the creation of the LMDh platform will further broaden the global appeal of the sport. Further, we are well aligned with the ambition to have the new LMDh platform appearing on race tracks as early as the 2021 calendar year.
We believe this convergence will benefit manufacturers, teams, partners such as Michelin and most importantly, the fans.
We look forward to working with both IMSA and the ACO to learn more regarding the technical regulations and work to bring LMDh to life for the benefit of sports car racing.
