All three of Michelin’s series in IMSA head to VIRginia International Raceway this weekend for a bevy of great action.

Sunday’s Michelin GT Challenge serves as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s second and final GT class-only race of the season. 

Meanwhile on Saturday, the IMSA MICHELIN Pilot Challenge competes in the Virginia Is For Racing Lovers Grand Prix, and the IMSA Prototype Challenge race caps off the day.

The weekend’s event hashtag is #MichelinVIR and the IMSA MICHELIN Pilot Challenge race specific hashtag is #LoveVa.

Quote:  “You have relatively new asphalt, and it still has some color that holds heat fairly well,” said Ken Payne, technical director, motorsport, Michelin North America.

“This track has lots of elevation change. There’s a mix of really fast, short duration corners like the climbing esses, and also some long corners like NASCAR. It’s a nice mix of challenging combinations that work the car pretty thoroughly.”
