Magnussen tackles the rain
April 13, 2012
Michelin Alley caught up with Corvette Racing’s Jan Magnussen after this morning’s wet and wild practice session on the streets of Long Beach.
Magnussen’s teammate Antonio Garcia is actually racing here at Long Beach for the very first time – having to learn the track in the pouring rain.
The popular Dane has his fingers crossed for better weather this afternoon for qualifying. Magnussen has finished second here at Long Beach in the GT class for the past two years in a row and has his sights set on returning to victory lane tomorrow.
He is the only driver in the history of the American Le Mans Series to take a victory in every year of the championship.
