Lotus GT and Dempsey P2 In, SRT Viper Next

Patrick Dempsey and Joe Foster's entry into the ALMS P2 class and AJR's Lotus GT entry are positive signs.

A positive trend is developing in the American Le Mans Series season, as the series pauses for the Le Mans 24 Hour race weeks, new teams and manufacturers are arriving on the grid.

One of the most successful teams in series history, Alex Job Racing, introduced its new Lotus Evora with drivers Townsend Bell and Bill Sweedler into the GT class battles at Long Beach.

Dempsey Racing’s Patrick Dempsey(right) and Joe Foster were up next, making the six-hour race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca the first for their new Lola-Judd P2 entry.

Heading to initial testing during the Le Mans break is the recently announced two-car SRT Viper factory team from Riley Technologies with drivers Dominik Farnbacher, Marc Goosens, Kuno Whitmer and Ryan Hunter-Reay.
