Keeping your cool
July 19, 2013
How do you keep your cool inside a GT car where ambient temperatures are hitting 100 degrees and track temps are even hotter?
CORE autosport’s Tom Kimber-Smith and Patrick Long report in from Canadian Tire Motorsport Park regarding the measures taken to keep cool during the race. Click on the video below to see how they do it.
Lots of fans will have the air conditioner cranked up to the maximum to keep cool en route to the track – the drivers actually do the same. All GT cars are now fitted with air conditioning.
Kimber-Smith and Long head in this weekend’s round in Canada fresh from CORE autosport’s first ever GT podium at the last round at Lime Rock Park.
