JVO’s two-wheeled adventure
JVO’s two-wheeled adventure
Most drivers jump in a rental car from the airport and drive to the race track but when it comes to Johaness van Overbeek and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca – he has a totally different idea.
This weekend “JVO” conducted his annual ride from San Jose to Monterey where he was joined by past and present team members from Extreme Speed Motorsports and his former team, Flying Lizard Motorsports.
Teammate Guy Cosmo also came along for the ride which totaled 90 miles and 3500 feet of climbing.
The perfect preparation for a race weekend.
An avid cyclist, van Overbeek aims to target 10 hours on the bike every week when he is not at the race track.

Michelin Alley talked to van Overbeek about the adventure unfortunately included a “DNF” for one of the riders.
