Justin Bell launches pre-race show
Former racer Justin Bell is set to bring a new style of “pre-race” program for sportscar fans when he launches a new 30 minute online show starting this week at Sebring.
Shown on IMSA.com, Bell will present a 30 minute show from the grid at Sebring from 9:30am, catching up with drivers and personalities moments before they climb aboard for the 62nd running of the 12 Hours of Sebring.
The expat Brit is no stranger to on-track success. For Dodge Viper, he won the 1997 FIA GT2 world championship and the GT2 class at Le Mans in 1998. In 2000 Justin signed with GM as a driver for the factory Corvette Racing , finishing second in the Daytona 24 Hours, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Petit Le Mans.
He last raced here at Sebring in 2000 (pictured right).
Bell of course was destined to enter the sport in some capacity, his father Derek is a five-time winner at the 24 Hours of Sebring.
After the pre-race show, Bell will join his fellow Fox Sports commentary team including Bob Varsha, Calvin Fish and Brian Till. Michelin Alley caught up with Bell – turning the tables to ask him some questions – instead of the other way around.
