Jordan Taylor – the mullet is gone
Jordan Taylor had a haircut. This is normally not considered big news but the Daytona Prototype driver’s hair became a social media darling which has raised more than $13,000 for charity.
Fans have been able to contribute to the fund to raise money for charity with Taylor vowing the keep his “mullet” until this weekend’s race at Watkins Glen.
Despite standing on the podium for Corvette Racing recently, the media circus that descended upon the “taming the mullet” ceremony today raised the second generation racer’s profile to a whole new level.
The 2013 Rolex Series champion also tried some different styles with his soon to be departed “locks” this week (pictured right)
“This is ridiculous. I was just on the podium at Le Mans last week and we didn’t have that many photographers around me,” Taylor said.
“Winning the championship wasn’t even close. To cut off a mullet it was pretty staggering to see how many people showed up and the social media presence was amazing.
“I was just glad we could raise some awareness for Camp Boggy Creek and Camp Anokijig.”
Jordan Taylor again teams up with his brother Ricky and Max Angelelli for Wayne Taylor Racing this weekend.
