Joey Hand a busy man
BMW’s Joey Hand has been a busy man with four races in four weeks in three countries.
The Californian ace raced in Oschersleben in the DTM four weeks ago and had a weekend to forget – forced out at the first corner.
He then got an unexpected call up to stand-in for Maxime Martin at Circuit of The Americas – swapping cars to the black BMW and putting it on pole in the wet.
After 36 hours at home with his wife and family, Hand then headed to Zandvoort in the Netherlands last weekend where he had some of his best DTM results of the year – fifth in qualifying and seventh in the race.
Hand then enjoyed another 36 hours at home before heading back to VIR to help Dirk Mueller stay in the hunt for the GT championship.
Michelin Alley caught up with the talented BMW star today to ask him about the life of a jet-setting racing driver.
