Jarvis chasing second US endurance classic
British Audi ace Oliver Jarvis is hoping to take his second major US endurance race victory this weekend when he makes his Sebring debut aboard the No.1 Audi R18 e-tron quatro.
Jarvis was part of the winning team at the Rolex 24 at Daytona aboard the Audi R8 run by Alex Job Racing.
Alongside last year’s Sebring GTC winner Dion von Moltke, Filipe Albuquerque and Edoardo Montara – Jarvis was part of the winning squad which claimed the German marque’s first ever win at Daytona.
After winning on debut at Daytona, the former DTM driver now is looking to do the same at Sebring. If he can pull that off, it will cap off a remarkable era for the German marque at Sebring which has won 10 times here since 1999.
“I was really happy when I got the call from Audi saying that I could race at Sebring,” Jarvis said.
“The race is one of the world’s greatest endurance classics. I’m particularly proud of being in a car with the two-time Le Mans winners Marcel Fässler and Benoît Tréluyer. I’m certain that I can learn a lot from them and hope that we will be successful together. I’m already convinced that this race will be a highlight in my career.”
