James Hunt’s son in action at VIR

Freddie Hunt, son of the 1976 Formula One World Champion James Hunt, is competing at VIR this weekend in the Maserati Trofeo World Series.
Hunt is driving the Maserati GranTurismo MC Trofeo with an AutoWeek livery.
The second-generation racer started from pole yesterday in the opening race but suffered gearbox issues en route to finishing seventh.
Yesterday’s race was won Frenchman Romain Monti. The Maserati field also includes US star Guy Cosmo who qualified second and finished 8th yesterday in the 22 lap event.
The Maserati Trofeo World Series is a global championship with races taking place at Paul Ricard (France), Red Bull Ring (Austria), Road America (US), VIR (US), Suzuka (Japan) and Abu Dhabi (UAE).
