This year’s 12 Hours of Sebring grid is enhanced by the addition of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, the new seven-round global championship of sports car racing. These cars will race in the U.S. at Sebring and Petit Le Mans.

AF Corse, a top Italian team, campaigns the older Ferrari F430 GT model for a trio of drivers ALMS fans should be familiar with. Former Formula One star Giancarlo Fisichella, along with previous ALMS race winners Gianmaria Bruni and Pierre Kaffer all raced for Risi Competizione in 2010, and have as good a shot as any to podium if not win in GT in their No. 51 car.

Another Ferrari is run by Luxury Racing, which makes its North American debut with Stephane Ortelli, Frederic Makowiecki and former Formula One driver Jean-Denis Deletraz in the No. 59 Ferrari F458 Italia.

The GTE Am class, which includes GT cars at least one year old and different driver classifications, will have five cars — three that are Michelin technical partner teams. Those three are Larbre Competition (No. 50 Corvette C6 ZR-1, Patrick Bornhauser, Julien Canal, Gabriele Gardel), CRS Racing (No. 62 Ferrari F430 GT, Pierre Ehret, Shaun Lynn, Roger Willis) and Proton Competition (No. 63 Porsche 911 RSR, Richard Lietz, Gianluca Roda, Christian Ried).

This is part of a series of previews on Michelin technical partner teams in this year’s 12 Hours of Sebring.
