Headaches for Muscle Milk Aston
While championship leaders Guy Smith and Chris Dyson topped the timesheet right at the end of the opening practice at the Baltimore Grand Prix, their chief rivals at the Muscle Milk Aston Martin Racing squad were not so fortunate.
Smith jumped to the top of the timesheet right at the end of the session – squeezing out the LMPC machines of Kyle Marcelli and Gunnar Jeannette who were at the top of the pack.
Klaus Graf was unable to complete a single flying lap before his Aston Martin came to a halt with electrical problems.
With stand-in driver Romain Dumas needing to get his first laps in the car before tomorrow’s race, the team now face a race against of time to get the car back on track before qualifying tonight.
This afternoon’s session ran virtually trouble free until minutes to go when the GTC #66 of Duncan Ende crashed heavily – backing his Porsche backwards into the wall.
