AUTO - WEC TESTS AT PAUL RICARD 2015Porsche continued to dominate the action at Circuit of The Americas this morning in Texas with New Zealander Brendon Hartley setting the fastest time in the FIA World Endurance Championship final practice.

Hartley stopped the clocks at 1:46.435 – 3/1oths of a second faster than his teammate Neel Jani.

Despite Lucas di Grassi’s Audi briefly appearing at the top of the timing screen last night, Porsche has dominated the action in Texas this week and the pole position battle is expected to be a fight between the No.17 and No.18 machines.

Audi went faster this morning but was still a second adrift of the Porsche pair. Loic Duval set a time of  1:47.436 to be third fastest.

Toyota were fifth and sixth with Mike Conway leading Sebastien Buemi.

In the P2 ranks five different chassis/engine combinations filled the top five spots led by the Alpine/Nissan of Signatech Racing.

GTE Am bragging rights went to Aston Martin with Pedro Lamy recording the fastest time in the car he is sharing with Canadian Paul Dalla Lana.

Qualifying for the FIA World Endurance Championship is next on the agenda this afternoon at 5:45pm.
