The word of the day at Lime Rock Park would have to be “green.” For starters, the track in Lakeville, Conn. is nestled in a park area that is highlighted by how green the trees and atmosphere is. Secondly, the track turned to a “green” track when rain came passing through the area in-between the first and second ALMS practice session and cleaned whatever rubber had been laid down off the track. Third, a car with some green highlights, the No. 16 Dyson Lola Mazda, stormed to overall pole.

All that said, green best describes the day at Lime Rock because it marked the resumption of the 2011 schedule for the first time since mid-April on the streets of Long Beach. All images, green or otherwise, captured this Friday by ace photographer Rick Dole, are live in the “Galleries” section of michelinracingusa.com.
