Graf storms to Road America pole
Muscle Milk Aston Martin Racing’s Klaus Graf continued his team’s domination of the timesheets when the German clinched pole position for tomorrow’s Time Warner Cable Road Race Showcase at Road America.
Graf and teammate Lucas Luhr topped every practice session today and topped the qualifying results with a time of 1 minute, 51.828 seconds.
The Muscle Milk machine was .364 of a second faster than the second Dyson Racing entry of Steven Kane who impressed to push his team boss Chris Dyson back to third fastest.
The Autocon Lola was fourth fastest in the LMP1 ranks just ahead of the returning LMP2 Level 5 Motorsports squad. Based in Madison, WI – the Level 5 team have been running a split US/European schedule this year and return to the track this weekend at their home circuit in one of their final races with the HPD-powered Lola.
The team will switch to a new HPD engine and chassis combination at the upcoming ILMC race at Silverstone in the UK.
