Klaus Graf scored his first ALMS race pole and the first pole for Muscle Milk Team CytoSport as he topped an exciting qualifying session that saw the top of the chart change seven times in the first ten minutes.

Graf turned a lap in 1:06.996 aboard the Muscle Milk Porsche RS Spyder to become the seventh different driver in eight races to claim an ALMS pole.

The pole was the seventh of the year for Michelin.  Michelin teams took three of the top four positions for Sunday’s  race, the eighth stop of the 2010 American Le Mans Series season.

Qualifying second was Chris Dyson in the Dyson Racing Mazda, followed by Simon Pagenaud of  Highcroft Racing HPD.

The top three cars qualified within 0.272 seconds on the 2.459 mile circuit with Road America race winner Jonny Cocker of Drayson Racing  just a further 0.254 seconds adrift.

2009 LMP2 Champion Luis Diaz took the LMP Challenge class pole with a lap at 1:11.455 followed by Frankie Montecalvo. Gunnar Jeannette was third, followed by Canadian Kyle Marcelli and Scott Tucker.
